Todays happy is yarn, specifically sock yarn. I love making socks. They can be simple, like the ones made with Stephanie Pearl-McPhees' plain sock recipe in her book Knitting Rules. I have two copies of the book and the printed copy is dog eared, high lighted, and much loved. The electronic copy is my go to book for how to knit. She freed my mind and made me laugh. She taught me to knit a sock and not to be afraid of mistakes. Or double pointed needles. Happy Day after the 4th.
