Dec. 30, 2008

Almost a New Year with new challanges and a brand new slate to write on. I love blank books and a new pen, so I can plan in my head what I will write. And a New Year is the same.
Other people also help fill my blank pages with their stories.
This past year was lonely because it was a year in August we lost Dad. This year was sad because my plant closed and I was afraid of losing the friends I had made there. This year was great because I got to see my granddaughter graduate high school. This year was great because I got to spend two weeks with the world's best sister, yes Peggy that is you. This year was great because I have a job.

Christmas Eve

It is almost time for Santa to come, and I am just real excited. I have time off from work and my DH is cooking dinner for us, so I can crochet, knit, read, nap and just generally be a crafting lump on the sofa.
Life is soooooo good! It is just wonderful the Blessings I have.
For those of you who celebrate...Merry Christmas, for those who don't Joyful Day... and a Festavus for the restofus.

Christmas Week

Well it is almost here, Christmas that is. And it will be a wonderful one.
I have finished all my doggie blankets and have crocheted a couple of baby sweaters, and have a scarf on my needles that I am knitting.
Got to run to the store and get makings for Christmas Dinner. And maybe a couple of skiens of yarn will jump in my basket.
I have a month of genealogy homework to do and turn in, but have two and a half days off this week to get that done.

I have 5 and a half done. I am sewing the last one together now, I will never edge another one in black. I think I will have to wait to a sun shiney day to get it together.
Now I am going to have time to start the great grand baby due end of April some baby things. I want to do a couple of sets, blankets, sweaters, hats, booties things.
We will know in January what color yarn to buy, but I have been looking and found some really preaty colors in Vanna's yarn. There is a varigated green that I think will look very nice knitted up, and I have a very boy looking one planned also...we will see.

Orange Yarn

Orange Yarn, when did I buy orange yarn? Was I planning to knit pumpkins?

The trouble with a stash of yarn is that I forgot what I stashed, and I am now finding out I am the kind of person who buys orange yarn.

Not School color orange, street cone orange. So I am hoping the animals that I made this for won't mind that a crazy person who buys orange yarn used it for them.
